Thoughts and Memories About Circle K From Our Members

"I love that Circle K is part of a larger family dedicated to service. I know that no matter where I go, I can continue to grow in this organization." - Francesca, Class of 2019

"The main reason why I like Circle K and have been in it since freshman year is the supportive community we have where everyone enjoys doing community service in a chill and fun environment. One of my favorite events is Magic Circle because interacting with kids by reading books and doing arts & crafts with them is a great energy booster for the week. I love seeing the smiles on their faces when they see what they have created." - Elaine, Class of 2018

"My favorite thing about Circle K is the sense of community and low pressure atmosphere. Circle K is an organization that truly values service and friendship. The people aren't worried about making any kind of impression or padding their resume, they simply want to help improve their community through service! This is what makes Circle K truly unique from other clubs on campus." - Aminat, Class of 2019

"My first time at Books through Bars, I was taken aback by how personal picking out a book for someone who really cared is. That feeling of awe in making a difference to someone hasn't gone away." - Amy, Class of 2019

"I like Circle K because it's a great way to interact with the West Philadelphia community and get away from the stress of campus! Books through Bars is one of my favorite events because I know that I am making a clear difference in the lives of those inmates by collecting books for them!" - Hayley, Class of 2020

"What I like about Circle K is that everyone is there because they want to be. It's not a club that people do for their resume; it's a club where people care about each other and have fun helping the community. I'm always excited to go to meetings and events because I know I'll be surrounded by people who make me laugh." - Ariel, Class of 2019

"The more I’ve been able to get to know my fellow Circle K-ers through our various service projects and social events the more I believe in the power and good of humanity. Being a member of Circle K has shown me a refreshingly different side of Penn. I know that our club is mainly about giving back to our community, but I feel as though it goes both ways. I always feel so rejuvenated after participating in a service project such as a UCHC dinner or Magic Circle. According to Circle K International, the mission of this organization is to cultivate college students into a global network of responsible citizens and leaders with a lifelong commitment to service. I feel as though this is even more important than ever given the current state of our world. I really believe in what this club stands for and would love to see it continue to grow." - Evanie, Class of 2019

"My favorite Circle K event this year was getting involved with the Love Letters Project through the Netter Center. Not only was engaging in the project incredibly meaningful, but it was also a wonderful experience to be able to personally deliver the letter packets to young students at a local elementary school. This event gave me such an amazing look into the direct impact Circle K service has on local communities." - Ian, Class of 2019

"I really enjoy volunteering at the university city hospitality coalition food service on Mondays with Circle K. It is important to me to engage with people from all walks of life and situations, and being a part of an effort to provide food to those who have fallen on hard times and that don't have access to it is very rewarding." - Keira, Class of 2020

"My favorite event in Circle K so far was volunteering at [Boo] at the Zoo. It was nice to get to know other Circle K members and help out the zoo. I loved seeing all the kids in their costumes and how happy they were to get tattoos." - Bizzy, Class of 2020

"Looking back at the very first Circle K meeting that I went to this year, I really don't remember what we talked about or the events that we planned, but what really struck me about Circle K was how friendly and open everyone was, the whole meeting seemed like a group of friends hanging out, and I knew that I wanted to be a part of that." - Edward, Class of 2021

"I love Circle K because it brings people in the community together. My favorite memory is walking to Books Through Bars together, packaging reading materials, and then grabbing lunch off campus before heading back to Penn." - Fiona, Class of 2017
